अल्लाह के नाम से शुरू जो बहुत मेहरबान रहमत वाला

He frowned and turned away.

तेवरी चढ़ाई और मुंह फेरा

Tafseer Tinymce

Because the blind man had come in his august presence.

इस पर कि उसके पास वो नाबीना हाज़िर हुआ

And what do you know, he may be of the pure!

और तुम्हे क्या मालूम शायद वो सुथरा हो

Tafseer Tinymce

Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him.

या नसीहत ले तो उसे नसीहत फायदा दे

Tafseer Tinymce

For him who does not care,

वो जो बे-परवाह बनता है

Tafseer Tinymce

So you are after him!

तुम उसके तो पीछे पड़ते हो

Tafseer Tinymce

And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure.

और तुम्हारा कुछ ज़ियाँ नहीं इसमें कि वो सुथरा न हो

And for him who came to you striving,

और वो जो तुम्हारे हुज़ूर मलकता आया

Tafseer Tinymce

And whereas he fears,

और वो डर रहा है

Tafseer Tinymce

So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere!

तो उसे छोड़कर और तरफ मशगूल होते हो

Not this way – this is the advice.

यूँ नहीं ये तो समझाना है

Tafseer Tinymce

So whoever wishes may remember it.

तो जो चाहे उसे याद करे

Tafseer Tinymce

On honourable pages.

उन सहीफों में कि इज़्ज़त वाले हैं

Exalted, pure.

बुलंदी वाले पाकी वाले

Tafseer Tinymce

Written by the hands of emissaries.

ऐसों के हाथ लिखे हुए

Who are noble, virtuous.

जो करम वाले निकोई वाले

Tafseer Tinymce

May man be slain – how ungrateful he is!

आदमी मारा जाइयों क्या ना-शुक्र है

From what did He create him?

उसे काहे से बनाया

Tafseer Tinymce

From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him.

पानी की बूँद से उसे पैदा फ़रमाया फिर उसे तरह-तरह के अंदाज़ों पर रखा

Then eased the way for him.

फिर उसे रास्ता आसान किया

Tafseer Tinymce

Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave.

फिर उसे मौत दी फिर क़ब्र में रखवाया

Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.)

फिर जब चाहा उसे बाहर निकाला

Not one – he has not yet completed what he was commanded.

कोई नहीं उसने अब तक पूरा न किया जो उसे हुक्म हुआ था

So man must look at his food.

तो आदमी को चाहिए अपने खानों को देखे

Tafseer Tinymce

That We watered it in abundance.

कि हमने अच्छी तरह पानी डाला

Tafseer Tinymce

Then We split the earth properly.

फिर ज़मीन को खूब चीरा

Tafseer Tinymce

Thereby produced grain in it.

तो उसमें उगाया अनाज

Tafseer Tinymce

And grapes and fodder,

और अंगूर और चारा

Tafseer Tinymce

And olives and date palms,

और ज़ैतून और खजूर

Tafseer Tinymce

And dense gardens,

और घने बाग़ीचे

Tafseer Tinymce

And fruits and grass,

और मेवे और दूब

Tafseer Tinymce

In order to benefit you and your cattle.

तुम्हारे फायदे को और तुम्हारे चौपायों के

So when the deafening Shout arrives,

फिर जब आयेगी वो कान फाड़ने वाली चिंघाड़

On that day man will run away from his brother.

उस दिन आदमी भागेगा अपने भाई

Tafseer Tinymce

And from his mother and father,

और माँ और बाप

Tafseer Tinymce

And from his wife and sons.

और जोरू और बेटों से

Tafseer Tinymce

On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him

उनमें से हर एक को उस दिन एक एक फ़िक्र है कि वही उसे बस है

Many a face will be glittering on that day.

कितने मुंह उस दिन रोशन होंगे

Tafseer Tinymce

Laughing, rejoicing.

हसंते खुशियाँ मनाते

Tafseer Tinymce

And many a face will be covered with dust on that day.

और कितने मुहों पर उस दिन गर्द पड़ी होगी

Blackness overcoming them.

उन पर सियाही चढ़ रही है

Tafseer Tinymce

It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners.

ये वही हैं काफिर बदकार
